If you EVER want to survive in a deathmatch (multiplayer everyman for himself showdown), you need to know how to evade rockets. to do this, simply bind some keys to strafeleft, and straferight. That way you can sidestep rockets with ease. You must also know how to rocket jump. Point your rocket Launcher at the floor, jump and hit fire at the same time. Practice this alone, as you may toast yourself the first few times and get laughed at. To rocket jump you need at least 60 health to survive. If you feel like flying REALLY high, gather the red armor, 200 health, and quad damage. Then try rocket jumping. WHEEEE ~CrUnCh~. Also while running, if you are being persued, you may want to turn around and slam it into reverse, so you are in effect, walking backwards, shooting your attacker. A great way to scare the crap out of someone if they are chasing you, is to switch from the forward movement key, to backwards (without turning,) and rocket jump backwards, sailing over their heads, planting a rocket square in the middle of the poor loser's back. Don't do this to someone who is beating you severely. They may get angry, and start piping off insults at you and insulting yo momma.DM tips
